Age Limit :
- Project Scientist – C (Medical)-40 years
- Project Scientist B (Medical / Non-Medical)-38 years (
- The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary :
- Project Scientist – C (Medical)-Consolidated salary of Rs.64,000/- (plus HRA)
- Project Scientist B (Medical / Non-Medical)-For Medical: Consolidated salary of Rs.61,000/- (plus HRA) For
- Non-Medical: Consolidated salary of Rs.48,000/- (plus HRA)
Education Qualification :
- Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with one year experience OR
- Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with two years experience.OR
- M.B.B.S degree with 4 years experience in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology after obtaining MBBS Degree. Desirable Qualification and Experience:
- PhD in epidemiology
- MD Community Medicine/SPM
- MPH after MBBS
- Experience in conducting community-based health research, including vaccine and other drug trials
- Experience in coordination of research activities
- Knowledge of computer applications and data analysis Experience in writing research manuscripts
- Training in GCP
- Proficiency in reading, speaking and writing in Tamil
- Essential Qualification For Medical:
- MBBS Degree with one-year experience in research/training. OR
- MD in Microbiology/Pathology/PSM from a recognized University. For Non-Medical:
- First class Masters degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University with two years’ experience in related field OR
- Second class Masters degree with PhD in relevant subject from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification and Experience For Medical:
- A Doctorate or a Post Graduate Degree MD//MPH/MAE in Public health/Community Medicine/ Preventive and Social medicine/ Epidemiology / Public Health from a recognized University/ Institute
- Additional Post-doctoral research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute(s)
- Experience of surveillance activity research, including monitoring and supervision
- Knowledge of Computer applications and statistical Packages.
- Knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.
