The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Personnel Selection Board has announced that the Tamil qualifying examination is also compulsory in the written examination for the post of police officer.
In Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Personnel Selection Board conducts examinations for police posts and examinations for Assistant Inspectors. In this situation, the selection committee has brought some changes in the selection system. Tamil Qualification Examination has been implemented.
It has been announced that the Tamil qualifying examination will be held and only after that the written examination will be held. According to the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Personnel Selection Board, the written test and the Tamil qualifying test will be conducted simultaneously and 40 percent marks will be required in the Tamil qualifying test.
The police said that if a student gets a low mark in the Tamil qualifying examination and a high score in the written test, he will be denied admission to the qualifying examination and will be rejected.
It has been announced that this Tamil qualifying examination will be conducted for 80 marks in one hour and 20 minutes and the main written examination will be conducted for 80 marks. It has been reported that the same procedure will be followed in the examinations for Police Assistant Inspector.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has already announced that those joining government services in Tamil Nadu must have passed the Tamil language examination. According to the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Personnel Selection Board, this change has been brought about in the selection procedures for the police service.
