- The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary :
- Technician - Pay Level-2 Rs.19900-63200/-
- Technical Assistant - Pay Level-6 Rs.35400-112400/-
Education Qualification :
- Technician (Post Code: T-01) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate in Fitter Engineering.
- Technician (Post Code: T-02) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Electrician.
- Technician (Post Code: T-03) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 3 years of work experience in Chemical Plant (NSQF) in a Ministry / Department / Organization / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT.
- Technician (Post Code: T- 04) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Instrument Mechanic. Or SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Electronics & Instrumentation. Or SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institute in Electronics & Instrumentation.
- Technician (Post Code: T-05) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Tool and Die Maker (Dies & Moulds)/Machinist.
- Technician (Post Code: T- 06) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Draughtsman (Mechanical).
- Technician (Post Code: T- 07) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Information Technology/Computer Hardware and Network Maintenance. Or SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institution in computer hardware and network maintenance.
- Technician (Post Code: T- 08) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Electronic Mechanic
- Technician (Post Code: T- 09) - SSC/10th Standard with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate Computer Operations and Programming or Office Management.
- Technician (Post Code: T- 10) - SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or national/state trade certificate of Machinist. Or SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized Institute in Machinist.

- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-01) - Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or Technology of at least 3 years full time duration or 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course, with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years in the relevant area / field.
- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-02) - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Technology of at least 3 years full time duration or 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course, with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years in the relevant area / field.
- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-03) - Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronic Engg. or Technology of at least 3 years full time duration or 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course with minimum 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant field/area.
- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-04) - Diploma in Civil Engineering of at least 3 years full time duration or least 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in diploma course with minimum 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant field/area with knowledge in coputer aided Engineering drawing
- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-05) - Diploma in Ceramic Engineering or Technology of at least 3 years full time duration or 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in Diploma course with minimum 60% marks and 2 years of experience in the relevant field/area.
- Technical Assistant (Post Code: TA-06) - Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science & Technology / Information Technology / Communication & Computer Networking / Computer Software Technology or equivalent of at least 3 years full time duration or at least 2 years full time duration in case of lateral admission in diploma course with minimum 60% marks and experience of 2 years in the relevant field/area

No other means of payment of fees will be accepted. The Unique Transaction Receipt (UTR) No. should be mentioned in the online application form. For, more than one application, separate application fee needs to be paid and the separate UTR No. generated there on may be mentioned in concerned applications. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from submission of application fee

- The summary sheet generated immediately after online submission of application should be printed and duly signed. The duly signed Summary Sheet should be accompanied by self attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, education qualifications, experience and caste certificate, if applicable, and should be sent in an envelope super scribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANT OR TECHNICIAN (1) (as the case may be) and Post Code…” by post to the address: The Controller of Administration, CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, 196, Raja S. C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate application form for each post indicating the Code No. of the post.
