Age Limit :
- The upper age for UR candidate is 30 years as on the last date of submission of online application.
- Age Relaxation shall be allowed up to 40 years for those Contract labours (including fixed term employees) with desirable qualification & experience who have worked / are working in ECIL. The resultant additional relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates will also be allowed on this account.
- Relaxations & Exemptions:
- Age: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. The upper age limit is further relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (degree of disability 40% or above) and 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989. Exservicemen are eligible for age relaxation for the service rendered in Defence plus three years.
Salary :
- The selected candidates will be placed at the basic pay of Rs 18500/-PM with annual increment of 3%
- In addition to emoluments as mentioned above; PF, Gratuity, Medical benefits, Leave will be applicable as per the rules in force from time to time of the corporation.
Education Qualification :
- Light Vehicle Driver (LVD) - The applicant should have Matriculation/SSC with a valid Driving License for light and heavy motors vehicles. The candidates should possess minimum 3-year experience of driving light and heavy motors vehicle and should have knowledge of Motor Mechanism (able to remove minor defects in vehicle) as on the last date of submission of online application.

Application Fees
- Candidates belonging to General/OBC category (including non-creamy layer)/EWS have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/-(Rupees Five Hundred only). Applicable Bank charges/Taxes, if any, have to be borne by the candidates. Non payment of fees will result in rejection of application. SC, ST, PWD, and regular employees of ECIL, which includes Fixed Term Contract employees (currently engaged with ECIL) are exempted from payment of Application fee.
- Note: The applicants shall pay the Application Fee as indicated in the Table Above through Online Payment Mode Only.
Selection Process
- The selection methodology will comprise two stage selection process i.e Written test and driving test. No interview shall be conducted.
- The weightage for Written Test & driving test is 50:50 respectively and 60% in overall for selection of candidates.
- All eligible candidates shall be called for written test however for driving test candidates shall be called in the ratio of 1:4 based on the performance in written test.
- Equal Nos of candidates shall be kept in panel and the panel will be valid for a period of 6 Months from the date of its approval.
- Written Test:
- The Question Paper will be in English & Hindi only. The Written Test shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Every wrong question will attract 0.25 negative marks.
- The Answer Sheet will be OMR sheet.
- The date, time and venue of written test will be intimated by e-mail / SMS. The candidates have to download the Hall Ticket for Written Test from the link provided on our website: http//careers.ecil.co.in. The candidates have to bring their Hall Ticket along with ID-Proof [viz. Aadhar, PAN, Voter-ID, Driving Licence or any of the Government ID proof] for attending written test along with Application Fee receipt if applicable.
- Certificate Verification Process & Trade Test:
- The date, time and venue of driving Test will be intimated by e-mail / SMS. The candidates should download the Hall Ticket for driving test from the link provided on our website: http//careers.ecil.co.in. The eligible candidates will be allowed to attend driving test only after successful verification of certificates. The Certificate Verification will be conducted before the driving test on the same day. The driving test shall be made on the basis of test as prescribed by ECIL to assess their competency of drive light and heavy motor vehicles including knowledge of motor mechanisms and ability to remove minor defects in vehicle from amongst the candidates possessing the requisite edibility criteria mentioned above. Candidate should bring their Hall Ticket along with ID Proof viz. [viz. Aadhar, PAN, VoterID, Driving Licence any of the ID proof].

- Candidate(s) fulfilling all the above clearly laid down criteria will have to apply online only through the link on the ECIL website in the careers webpage under current openings section i.e. https://careers.ecil.co.in/ from 04.06.2022 (14.00 hrs.) to 25.06.2022 (14.00 hrs.). No other mode of application will be accepted.
