Education Qualification :
- NIELIT requires B.E/ B.Tech candidates to apply for their Scientist C notification 2022. The detailed information has been given below or you can verify it on the official notification itself.
- Note:
- Experience has to be relevant work experience in any or the combination in the field of Information Technology with emphasis on networking, Cyber Laws, e-Commerce, Cyber Security and Cyber Forensics in Ministries or Departments or Attached and Subordinate Offices of the Central Government or Statutory Bodies or Autonomous Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings or Private Sectors.
- Candidates having educational qualifications M.Tech/ME etc should have completed BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Information Technology or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and
- Telecommunication or Electrical.
- DESIRABLE WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
- Working knowledge in the following one or more areas is desirable:
- Financial Services Sector;
- Energy or Power Sector;
- Telecommunications Sector;
- Information and Communications Technology and Cyber Security Sector;
- Transport Sector;
- Manufacturing Sector;
- Health Sector.

Selection Process
- The Direct recruitment to the posts of Scientist ‘C’ would be done through a three-stage process i.e. Screening Test, Evaluation of the academic records followed by personal interaction/interview.
- The Screening Test would be of qualifying nature and would comprise Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) on Reasoning, Basic Mathematics, English, Aptitude, Attitude, and Leadership Quality.
- The screening test would consist of 150 nos of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) to be answered in a maximum time of three hours.
- Candidates qualifying for the screening test with a minimum 60% of marks, would only be considered eligible for next level of the selection process by filling up the main application form for the post of Scientist ‘C’. In case a sufficient number of candidates in OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories are not available with minimum 60% marks in the screening tests, then the qualifying marks can be relaxed to 50% for OBC candidates and to 40% for SC/ST/PWD Candidates.
