Education Qualification :
- Masters with 3 or more years of relevant industry experience or Ph.D. Scholars. Experience in open source
- contributions are a must.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with substantial contributions to free and open-source software’s
- Fluency with dozen or so most commonly used open-source/free software licenses and their conditions/obligations; familiarity with others
- Technical domain knowledge in at least one open-source ecosystem (e.g., Java, docker, kernel, etc.)
- Able to quickly identify and advise on license compatibility issues
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and follow up activity of researchers working on the project
- Follow up based on weekly meetings with project faculties and PIs
- Communicate the project scope at various amounts of detail to different stakeholders
- Conducting post-release audits of software to ensure we are fulfilling all open source software license
- obligations and role modeling community best practices
- Ensure that the project milestones and goals are met
- Write reports and slide summaries often as needed for different audiences
- Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences with varying levels of knowledge
- Strong program management skills and results orientation
- Deep understanding of history, goals, and principles of free/open-source software
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with software development and release processes (both open source and proprietary)
- Knowledge in Natural Language Processing and Web Crawling
