Category Upper age limit Backward Class, Backward Class (Muslim), Most Backward Class/Denotified Community. 28 Years Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar), Scheduled Tribe. 31 Years Transgender 31 Years Destitute Widow 37 Years Ex-servicemen/Ex-personnel of Central Para-Military Forces (Discharged from service within 3 years from the date of notification / Serving persons who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of application. 37 Years - List of approved Games and Sports:
- Basket Ball, 2. Football, 3. Hockey, 4. Volley Ball, 5. Hand Ball, 6. Kabbadi, 7. Wrestling, 8.Boxing, 9. Gymnastics, 10.Judo, 11.Weight Lifting, 12. Aquatics (Swimming), 13. Athletics, 14. Equitation (Horse riding), 15. Rifle Shooting and 16. Silambam.
- II) 5% Reservation:
- 5% of the vacancies will be reserved for Ex-servicemen/Ex-personnel of Central Para-Military Forces (Discharged from service within 3 years preceding the date of notification / Serving persons who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of application).
- If the Ex-servicemen / Ex-personnel of CPMF fail to upload their discharge certificate, with the date of discharge their application will not be considered under the Ex-Serviceman category.
- The serving Armed Forces / CPMF personnel who are going to retire within one year from the last date of receipt of the online application should upload a certificate with a self undertaking, obtained from the Commanding Officer of his unit in the prescribed format. Failing this they will not be considered for this reservation.
- The Ex-Servicemen / Ex-Personnel of Central Para-military Forces who have not completed 3 years after discharge from service only are eligible for applying for this recruitment.
- Destitute Widow:
- 3% of the vacancies in the District/ City Armed reserve (women), and prison warders (women) will be allocated for destitute widows.
- Destitute Widow candidates should obtain a “Destitute Widow Certificate” from the Revenue Divisional Officer / Sub-Collector / Assistant Collector and upload the same along with the online application. Failing this they will not be considered under the Destitute Widow category.
- 20% PSTM Preference:
- 20% of all vacancies shall be set apart on a preferential basis for the candidates who studied in Tamil Medium from 1st standard to 10th standard based on their community.
- Transgender:
- The Transgender candidates may decide their self-identified anyone gender such as Male or Female or as the third gender. A Transgender candidate, who applies under the third gender, should upload an Identity Card obtained from the Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board.
- If a transgender candidate chooses the gender as Male, he should participate in the Physical Measurement Test, Endurance Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Certificate Verification along with Male candidates. If a transgender candidate chooses the gender as Female, she should participate in the Physical Measurement Test, Endurance Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Certificate Verification along with female candidates.
- If transgender candidates apply under the Third gender, they will be treated like Female candidates.
- If the transgender candidates produce their community certificate, they can get the benefit of communal reservation like other candidates.
- If the transgender candidates do not produce their community certificate, they will be treated as Most Backward Class category.
Salary :
- Constable, Jail Warder & Firemen – Rs.18200 – 67100/- Per Month
Education Qualification :
- Candidate should have passed the 10th Standard/SSLC.
